Given some recent events and the lack of recent updates to things, I decided to upgrade my site.

I’m kinda stupid.

I think this was covered in previous posts, but just in case: I clicked on the “Upgrade now: Recommended” button, and it started downloading stuff… Until it stopped.

I stared at it, and it laughed at me. (I’m not imagining this, I know this website… Sixteen years, and I know when it’s laughing at me, versus just laughing…)

So, I stop the upgrade, and every page loads to blank.

I’ve spent all day with this new phone, and I’m still mildly cussing and swearing under my breath.

Maybe it’s time for an audiobook.  Hrm, Dark Tower Vol. III seems a good choice.

Why am I swearing?  Even if it is the Jesus phone, it’s a new, blank, pristine, unused and untracked Jesus phone.  After using my stupid Razor for, what, four years now, I have 96 contacts and 135 phone numbers to move over.

I finally did it – I picked up an iPhone today.  After years of talking about it, dreaming about it, praying for it, begging my boss for it, hoping for it…

Wow.  Long time, no post.  Well, that’s been an overall pattern of most of my friends, and I am just such a follower of crowds.  I mean, the trenchcoat and dress shirt with tie and waistcoat and all.  ;)

What gives?  Life is just such a grind, and instead of overcoming difficulties I’ve become a whiney bitch.  I work to please other people and haven’t honestly looked to myself for a while now.  I thought moving into my new apartment would’ve kicked off a more realistic view of how I’m taking care of myself, but no – not really.  It just gave me a place to do it in.

So, I took two weeks for vacation, and I’m just taking care of things that have piled up around the apartment and resetting my mindset.  Since I’m resetting the N8-OS, why not do an OS upgrade on my laptop?

Today I woke up and shouted to the world, “Snow Leopard – here I come!”
