Not disappeared, just preoccupied

I haven’t disappeared off my blog again, I’ve just taken a little bit of time to focus on a serious backlog at work, and by the time the weekend comes around I’m braindead and unable to think past my next meal.

I was getting ideas for posts during that time, but usually only while walking to and from the train, and by the time I’d get back home or to work, I’d have forgotten all but a very general idea.  And trying to reconstruct posts from half-remembered mental fragments is frustrating and off-putting, at least from my perspective.

So, I’ve been playing lotsa video games, and link-hopping cooking blogs and cooking theory websites in my down time, and watching Let’s Plays on YouTube.

Today I made swedish meatballs with white gravy – they turned out really, really good – but need a little more tweaking.  Probably going to change the spice ratios and the onions, and I need to scale back on the breadcrumbs and milk, I think.  Once I have it all figured out, I’ll post that recipe.  Oh, and the two stroganoff recipes I have – if I ever find them.  I might just create them again from scratch.
